About Emy-land

Emy-land school has 156 children, divided over 6 classes. We have three groups in Kindergarten and three groups in Primary School. These children are between 3 and 14 years old.

They go to school from 7 am till 3 pm. At school they are offered porridge and lunch.

The children in Kindergarten start with learning how to read and write numbers and letters. They also get an introduction to science and social studies. All this is done in English, so that they get used to the language and learn little by little.

During Primary School, they continue their learning through several subjects: English, Kiswahili, maths, science, social studies and religion.

After class 3, the children proceed to class 4. They continue learning until class 8, after which they ought to go to Secondary School. At the moment Emy-land doesn’t offer education past class 3, due

to the fact that we are still growing. We hope that through sponsoring, we will be able to grow gradually.
